2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR first look: more goes with less

People had a lot of problems with the Jaguar F-Pace SVR. Although it had a powerful supercharged V-8 engine, the interior was not that impressive. This is one of the main problems with vehicles that fall into this series. The F-Pace SVR comes with amazing performance, but there is still plenty of room for refinement. Today, the company launches the Jaguar F-Pace SVR 2021. In this article we are going to talk about what this new installment offers.

The new installment has a much better makeover. Plus, she has an intensive face lift, which is a great thing. But it is obvious that the quality of the cabin is unsatisfactory and the ergonomic options are puzzling. For example, the window switches are located high up on the edge of the door. They are too close to the side mirrors.

Other than this, poor ergonomic choices and lackluster design reduced sales of the previous model. The SVR’s performance was great, but the overall package wasn’t impressive enough to satisfy buyers.

The interior of the SVR 2021 is much smarter and cleaner than the previous model. The new gear selector features a built-in sports-type frame. It comes with the start / stop system button and the drive mode knob.

In addition, the promotional image presents a car that is on the European market. It has clearly visible SVR logos. The steering wheel features a small shaft that looks quite conspicuous on an impressive, cleaner dash. The dashboard vents aren’t that prominent.

The exterior of the vehicle is not that extensive. However, it looks modern and cleaner. The headlights are slimmer. Similarly, the lower fascia and air intakes blend subtly. It gives it a classic look, but there’s still a high-octane F-Pace.

At the rear, the straight taillight lenses look like semicircles. On the previous model, the taillights are carved into the F-Pace’s rear hatch. So the basic theme and spirit is the same, but the execution is cleaner and smarter. Other characteristics are quite similar. According to the manufacturer, resistance and front lift are reduced. The exterior makeover is a bit better.

Although the numbers are worth exploring, the performance figures are not that different. The car comes with a supercharged 5-liter V-8 engine that carries 550 horsepower. The only difference is that the torque is 516 pound-feet, which is 14 pound-feet more than the previous model.

Based on factory claims, the vehicle can go from zero to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds if some improvements are made to the driveline and tuning. The maximum speed of the car is 178 miles per hour.

The electric power steering is quite responsive, unlike the previous model. Adaptive dampers make you comfortable at low speeds. The latest brake booster improves pedal feel due to the shorter stroke. The 8-speed automatic transmission is capable of handling the highest torque load.

So this is a brief look at the new 2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle, you can now make a better choice.
