Secrets of Auto Detailing Carnauba Creme Liquid waxes, enamels and sealers

In Auto Detailing one of the biggest expenses is the quality products that you will use. But how do you calculate the amount of product you will need? Especially waxes, sealers and polishes? And what kind of products do you really need?

Well, you will need some creamy carnauba wax. I recommend the type, which is a tan colored liquid product and comes in a gallon container. How long will it last? Well that depends on how you use it. For example, if you put a coat of AutoMagic “Seal it” first, you can definitely make it last a long time.

I recommend putting some carnauba wax in a tomato sauce bottle and cutting the end in half because it is thick. Then use a large wax pad (cloth) and shake up some polymer solvent wax and dab two on the pad and then two lines of cream liquid wax to thin it out.

This will help it dry faster regardless of the humidity. This will increase the number of cars you can make before you run out of it. So a gallon of this would make 35-40 cars. Now a polymeric solvent and sealant combination wax that does separate and removes some oxidation, but is meant to be a quick clear coat wax, it will last quite a while depending on how rusty those cars actually are. So in that case, 1-2 coats will last up to, say, 20-40 cars.

Revival type enamels are liquid cleaning waxes and I would advise you to try to have only two types of waxes and brighteners unless you are doing heavy duty detailing, if you are just mobile washing and waxing take it easy on all types of products . Calculate the same for the polymer solvent wax comments. If it comes to the ultralight compound, ditch these products because you just don’t need all of this. Keep it simple and save money by being practical. Consider this in 2006.
