Making money in MLM is happening for many, many people. For many others, however, it is not. Here’s why some are successful and others are not. MLM only works if you do it right! Know and follow the rules.
Rule #1 for making money in MLM – It may seem like a no-brainer that you should join a solid and proven multi-level marketing program, but it amazes me how many people join without doing any research on the company or its leaders. That kind of basic information will be available on trusted programs, and the web is a good resource for feedback on all the programs out there. (Remember, though, that people who fail with a program are often more likely to say things, mean things, even though their failure may have been their doing.) Good programs tell you how to be successful. Poor programs are simply exaggerated and animated and not useful facts.
Rule #2 for making money in MLM: The fact is that no one really succeeded in MLM without FIRST getting trained in all the important facets of multi-level marketing. As in any business, there are basic procedures and techniques that you must master. Don’t expect to just send a lot of postcards (like the one you received, perhaps) and expect to stay home, you won’t. Those who make money in MLM found ways to train well in advance. Read and study the web articles on MLM or maybe take an MLM training course. One way or another, get trained!
Rule #3 to make money in MLM: Never spend money on advertising. Postcards do not attract more than a 1% response rate. Mass and random emails yield a 001% response rate. Brochures and information packs yield 0.005%, and business cards are a total waste of your money. With those levels of ‘takers’ you’ll soon be broke. If your goal is to make money in MLM, avoid all these traditional advertising techniques.
Rule #4 for making money in MLM: Invest your time and energy learning how to write great web articles about the areas of MLM that are important to prospects looking for information on the web. (Google ‘web article writing’ or something similar. EzineArticles dot com has a great free article writing training program.) Then learn how to put those articles on the web. Start by placing them on our website or blog and various high-traffic web article sites (EzineArticles, Knol, etc.). You will need to learn how to use keywords and get a high page rank in web search engines. Writing excellent and practical web articles from 400 to 80 words is the current best way to make money in MLM. Good prospects read your articles, click the link to your website or offers page, and you’ve acquired great, motivated and clearly intelligent prospects, all for free.
Rule #5 to make money in MLM: Know your upline sponsor. It must be more important than just a name on a postcard. Call him or send him an email. Find out what kind of support and training they will provide you. Learn about the size and quality of your downline: what percentage is successful, typical monthly income, and other things that are important to you as you search for the program that is most likely to help you make money in MLM.
