The importance of the five elements and Tui Na

Most of us have heard that there are five different elements in the Universe, as ancient Chinese philosophy suggests: Fire; Water; Wood; Land; and Metal

However, many people are not aware that the human body is influenced by each of these elements and the energy they emit. If your body is out of its element or if the energy is not flowing properly, this could put your entire system out of control and therefore create a sense of internal disharmony.

Most people who are unwell, who are stressed, who have a weakened immune system, and who simply do not feel 100% are suffering from this imbalance of elements.

These five elements exist in all of us; However, they are also all connected within our energy system and each part of the body, emotion, mental quality, organ and body fluid are connected to a different element:

– Wood: related to sensitivity, anger, liver, gallbladder, eyes and tendons.

– Fire: connected with creativity, happiness, the heart, the small intestine, the tongue and the pulse.

– Earth: connected with clarity, anxiety, spleen, pancreas, stomach, mouth and muscles.

– Metal: connected with pain, sadness, intuition, lungs, large intestine, nose and skin.

– Water: related to spontaneity, fear, kidney, urinary bladder, bones and urine.

So why should this matter?

When it comes to Tui Na, it matters a lot

Tui Na and keep your balance

Tui Na is an ancient form of Chinese massage that combines acupuncture and massage to maintain balance in your body. Tui Na works to relieve common aches, pains and ailments associated with the organs, emotions and parts of the body mentioned above.

Although each element is connected to a certain part of the body, they are also all linked in the body and, therefore, when an element acts ineffectively; it can affect your entire system.

Tui Na works with the concept of the five elements to return your body to a state of balance, increase the flow of energy and improve the general well-being of all aspects of your body.
