Miami is easily accessible by road, train and air. Miami International Airport offers more than 70 airlines nonstop flights from locations in the US and abroad.

Some of the most popular beaches in Miami are Bal Harbor Beach, Bill Baggs State Recreation Area, Crandon Park Beach, Hobie Beach/Windsurfer Beach, Miami Beach — Mid Beach, Miami Beach — North Beach, Oleta State Recreation Area, and South Pointe Park, among others. You can choose your beach among all these options, depending on the specific activity you want to enjoy.

If you want to explore Miami Beach, you can hire rental cars. Rental agencies are located at the airport. There are some agencies that even provide a shuttle service for travelers looking for rental services. For a unique travel experience, you can choose the Amtrak train service that runs along the East Coast to Miami. And if you’re on a tight budget, you can opt for the Greyhound bus, where costs are considerably lower than train or airfare.

You can also choose to visit the Wolfsonian, the Florida International University Museum in South Beach. The museum has an impressive collection of exhibits such as photos, old books, paintings, and other objects dating back to the late 19th century. Other interesting places to visit in Miami Beach are the Holocaust Memorial and the Everglades, a unique and fragile ecosystem consisting of marshes and swamps.

If you’re a carnival enthusiast, you can take part in the Miami Carnival, an exuberant nine-day festival that begins in March each year. The nine days are filled with Carnival Night concerts at the Orange Bowl and include a Latin drag show, jazz concerts, and a Miss Carnival pageant.
