Self defense for survival is hand-to-hand combat when your life depends on it

The preparation time is before the need arises.

Survival awareness, planning and preparation must become part of your daily life. This means knowing what could harm you or your family. It could be a crime such as attempted robbery, rape, or kidnapping. It could be a natural disaster causing nice neighbors to turn into desperate, hungry looters trying to break into your home and steal your food.

If a terrorist attack were to occur nearby, no matter where you are in the world, it could have disastrous consequences if you are not prepared and ask the right questions before you are forced to.

Whatever the cause, being prepared ahead of time will give you a significant advantage over those who don’t have a plan.

We are becoming so dependent on our technology for everything that we are losing touch with our human side that is perceptive and notices the little things.

Being aware at all times of your surroundings, your surroundings and the people close to you can go a long way in avoiding a confrontation. Being “armed with a conscience,” as well as preparing and training, can go a long way toward ensuring your survival when things just don’t work out the way you expected.

You may need to stand up for yourself or come to the aid of a friend or family member in the future; Wouldn’t it be prudent and responsible if you had some basic but effective knowledge on how to do it?

When we see violence on the news in other parts of the country or in other parts of the world, it’s easy to distance ourselves from it and feel a sense of denial as many falsely believe it won’t happen to us.

But what if it does?

What if one day, when you least expect it, violence breaks out near you, either towards you or a family member? What would you do? Would you freeze or spring into action? Without adequate preparation, the vast majority of people will fail to act and watch helplessly as violence unfolds in front of them. On the street, it’s you against them. Your heart races, your breathing becomes fast and shallow, time slows down, tunnel vision sets in, your palms start to sweat and at that moment you realize you are in a life and death situation. With the right training and preparation, you can act decisively and without remorse and emerge victorious, not victimized.

You see, criminals have a big advantage over you. They most likely have previous fighting and hand-to-hand combat experience that most people don’t have unless they’ve been in the military or practiced martial arts. Criminals are criminals all the time. Therefore, you must be prepared to absolutely destroy your attacker, and that starts with the mindset you must have, what I call “The Warrior Mindset.”

Remember, THERE ARE NO RULES on the street. Are you ready for that?

Most people think they are, but even experienced police officers and the military are sometimes not mentally prepared for that potential outcome. If you are not prepared, you will hesitate when you need to act, and that hesitation may be what loses the match.

You must learn to mentally prepare for the unthinkable. before it happens as much as your physical preparation. You have to ask yourself what you would do if you were confronted, or witness a brutal crime unfold before you to someone you care about. Could you do what is necessary to end the threat, no matter the cost?

Ask before the need arises – to have the answer before you need it. Do that, and you won’t hesitate when faced with a threat. This is something that many police officers and law enforcement personnel don’t even do.

Remember that the slightest hesitation could be the difference between success and failure… and failure is not an option when your life is on the line!
