Serrapeptase: Miraculous, Anti-Inflammatory Enzyme That Enhances Natural Healing

To be commonly known as a “miracle enzyme,” serrapeptase must be something pretty powerful, right? Actually, it can do more than most people know. And just because it’s currently gaining popularity in the US, that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been around and improving healing and improving lives for decades.

In fact, the enzyme Serrapeptase was first discovered in the early 1970’s and was found to have all sorts of amazing health benefits. Since then, it has been widely used as a natural anti-inflammatory throughout Asia and Europe.

It was actually a German doctor by the name of Dr. Hans Nieper who popularized the use of Serrapeptase to advance the healing process in several different cases. She even claimed to have two patients who were about to have limbs amputated due to infection who started taking Serrapeptase and instead were able to keep their limbs and make a full recovery. Also, used the enzyme in many patients as a means of promoting healthy function of the heart and circulatory system.

So what the hell is this? Believe it or not, we get the Serrapeptase enzyme from silkworms. It is isolated from a bacteria in your intestines called Serratia. And for the silkworm, it serves as a very important factor in its life cycle. You see, at a certain point in a silkworm’s life cycle, it spins a silken cocoon where it remains while it turns into a butterfly.

But once the silkworm has transformed into a butterfly, it would be trapped inside its cocoon were it not for Serrapeptase. Delivered through the silkworm’s saliva, the enzyme can break the cocoon so the butterfly can escape. But these powers are not just limited to silken cocoons. Serrapeptase naturally devours all non-living matter. Then, about 25 years ago, a Japanese biochemist discovered ways that this process can benefit our health.

The ways that Serrapeptase works inside our bodies allow it to remove scar tissue and other dead tissue or blockages, decrease inflammation or swelling, and control pain. The ability to remove non-living matter is why it is used to improve the health of the heart and circulatory system. Once it reaches the bloodstream, it dissolves artery-clogging plaque in the same way it dissolves the silkworm cocoon.

However, its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties are what make it so important for post-traumatic patients. After invasive surgery, for example, swelling can dramatically slow the healing process, along with the formation of scar tissue. Serrapeptase not only dramatically reduces swelling, but also removes dead tissue that builds up, allowing the body to heal faster. But how exactly does it reduce inflammation? First, it breaks down something our bodies make in the blood-clotting process called fibrin. Furthermore, it acts as a diluent of the fluids that our body produces when the tissue swells and even promotes a more efficient drainage of these fluids from the injured area.

In addition to the anti-inflammatory abilities that serrapeptase is known for, it is also known as an all-natural pain reliever. It works this way by blocking the production of pain-inducing chemicals in our body called amines. In a double-blind study involving 66 patients recovering from the same surgery, it was shown that not only the those who took Serrapeptase healed faster, but also experienced less pain than patients not taking the enzyme. That is why it is called the “miracle enzyme” in reference to natural healing.

But surgery and trauma aren’t the only reasons people take painkillers. Many people, in fact, rely on drugs like ibuprofen and aspirin on a daily basis, whether it’s for headaches, joint pain, muscle pain, pain caused by injury or surgery, or anything else. However, these types of drugs, called cox inhibitors, have been shown to have a wide range of harmful side effects.

For starters, they are known to damage kidney cells, which can lead to kidney damage when taken in excess. When severe enough, some patients even require dialysis or a kidney transplant. Other major problems caused by common pain relievers include stomach ulcers and bleeding, damage to muscle tissue, negative reactions with other medications, and even colon irritation.

For these reasons and more, doctors advise patients against taking too many cox inhibitors like ibuprofen. But too many people think that living with pain is their only other option. That is no longer the case.

Unlike harmful pain relievers, Serrapeptase is 100% natural. It doesn’t have the same dangerous side effects and is at least as effective as ibuprofen and aspirin when it comes to pain relief. In fact, it has several additional healthy side effects, including the prevention of clogged arteries, blood clots, and scar tissue. Any way you look at it, Serrapeptase is an amazing discovery. It is classified in the United States as a health supplement, but is most commonly used as a serious alternative to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs, and for good reason. Pick up a bottle of Serrapeptase capsules and see for yourself why it’s called the miracle enzyme.
