Tips to make your baseball cap look valuable

A baseball cap looks best when it’s tattered, used and folded, not like most things. It is shown that wearing a cap is often considered to be the symbol of the true baseball fan. When you buy a new cap, it looks new, still unused and not great, and this becomes a problem. Here are some suggestions to help you achieve a worn-in look you’re sure to love:

Choose a cap that is one size too large for your head. As? Not because you want your head to appear bigger than it is, or because you want it to fall over every time you see a baseball on the ground. The reason is that you are going to do something to it that will shrink it a bit. You need to buy a hat that is a little big, so that after breaking it in you can wear it.

Heat a container of water to a temperature that will not damage the hat, then lower the cap into the water. This will make the fabric softer and easier to mold to the desired shape.

Another worthwhile option is to wash it in the dishwasher or washing machine. Avoid putting the cap through too many wash cycles because it can fall apart. Let it dry a bit and then your head is where it needs to be placed. It’s okay if they splash on your face; go ahead, put it on. Wearing your cap when you shower will also work. In summer, when it is hot and you sweat a lot, you should wear it all the time. Shaping it will be easier as moisture seeps into the fabric. Is getting your head wet something you don’t like? Then, inside the cap you must place an object that is approximately the size and shape of your head.

The nice thing about this cap is that it will shrink when it dries and take the shape of the thing that occupies it. Instead of getting your hat wet, you can try to “rough” it slightly. It’s so durable that you can tie it in a bundle, throw it against a wall, use it as a pet toy, or whatever other wild thing you can think of. Be careful not to destroy your hat or you will have to buy another one. Fray the edges. If you don’t want to dirty the cap, just cut it at the fringes. Make a cap look old by cutting it out, pulling up the mesh, and sewing the hole. However, if you are not careful with this, you may end up completely destroying it.

Bend it out of shape. Make the edges touch each other by manually pulling the ends, try one of the edge curves that are available online.

A new baseball cap is not as good as an old one. Fortunately, taking a new baseball cap and making an old one takes very little time.
