Traditional Jamaican Diabetic Fruitcake

For most people, eating cake is like a great gift that they only get once in a while. And on the island of Jamaica, the original fruitcake recipe is very popular, and what most people don’t know is that it comes from the ancient days of plum pudding.

And for every Jamaican woman it would be a great joy to be able to make this particular cake. But in the passing from generation to generation, the recipes were not passed down well and some households may have them perfect, but they keep them a secret, so many people don’t know the real recipe behind them. The most distinctive thing about the cake is the creaming method and it is also full of nuts. And a fun thing about the ingredients in the cake is that it doesn’t include grapes, or any similar fruit or nuts.

And the particular color of this cake is dark brown and it has a high alcoholic taste. Sometimes it is very spicy and the reason for this is that around five different spices are used. But the alcohol levels can be different also the colour, but this depends on who is making the cake or who is making the cake for, whether it is a normal person or someone who is diabetic.
