Trying to track a cell phone number and don’t know where to start? That’s the easy part, the hard part is finding a good database!
What are these databases? They are known as reverse mobile phone directories, similar to the white pages, the only difference being that they have a database of all mobile phone numbers that are not listed in the usual white pages.
Why would someone resort to tracking a mobile phone number?The reasons are numerous. It could be something as simple as trying to trace a missed call or prank call to something more serious like suspecting a partner of cheating.
How simple is it to use these databases?Just copy the numbers you want to check and it’s a matter of connecting them to a reverse phone database.
What kind of information can be recovered?There are so many databases out there, and depending on which one you choose, you might get the following information:
- Previous residences/phone owner’s address
- Owner’s name and address with a map
- Relatives, neighbors, associates
- Cell phone service provider
- Other phone numbers you may have.

Since these have become quite popular, today there are many companies that offer this service. However, not all of them are compliant, do not update their databases regularly, have only a few numbers, and therefore may provide inaccurate information.
