Law of Attraction Tools Part 1

Reading and studying the Law of Attraction is discovering many different tools and techniques that various practitioners and teachers reveal in their works. Some of these tools were mentioned in the movie The Secret. Others don’t. Since each tool has relevant information and resources around each one, a series of articles has been created to keep you up to date on new tools and techniques I find in my research. There’s always so much to learn and discover, so this series was created for those who need a little more information and guidance before falling into the frenzy of buying one tool after another. I encourage you to try to incorporate into your life what you resonate with the most. Most of the tools are free and fairly simple to implement and should be practiced to the best of your knowledge. Start where you are.

The first tool I’m going to focus on in this series of articles is Visualization. This seems obvious to most people, but it goes a bit deeper than just being able to see a dream in your head. We can see a vision in our head and unless it feels real, what we see is not going to manifest in accordance with what we want to physically see. Why is this so? It’s because the Law of Attraction responds to feeling. How emotionally charged are you around your visualizations? Your perception is what is going to have the most vivid and coincidental impact on your desire. It doesn’t have to be material. It could be world peace, a totally green planet, healthy children, a restored ozone layer, new developments in autism research. The sky is limitless. Only your perception matters; how you shape this reality that you are creating for yourself.

We forget how powerful the mind is and that the same chemicals our brain releases through thought and emotion are what make certain things happen. This is why you hear about the cancer patient whose unwavering faith in God helped bring about his healing. You hear the story of a boy who is legally blind to become an award-winning wide receiver. This is the same reason you hear about the Miracle Man, whose bones were shattered in a plane crash, sentenced to a life as a vegetable by doctors, but he was released from the hospital eight months later.

Visualization is a tool that is activated by daydreaming or sitting down and writing down goals that you “see” for yourself. Another pretty fun and effortless way to use visualization is to create a vision or dream board. Anything can be placed on this board, from words, pictures of places and people, colorful shapes, houses, money, or just about anything that makes you burst with excitement every time you look at it. The key is to feel as if those items on your vision board are being experienced now. It really doesn’t help to keep visualizing the future as “the future”. Literally see your future self in the “now”. This is a key step in making the visualization tool work successfully for you.

Use your mind proactively to put together the pieces that you want to happen in your life. Even if it doesn’t happen while you are physically alive, by virtue of the Law of Attraction, it will happen. The late civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech reminds us of that.
