Shadow Dancer is a unique pair of myrmidon greaves, and is aptly named due to the +1-2 boost to Shadow Disciplines it offers to Assassins. They have some nice mods and provide great damage to assassins who use kicks for their finishing moves. In fact, Shadow Dancer is the unique pair of boots that deals the most damage for Assassin kicks.

Shadow Dancer has a high Strength requirement, making it an expensive option for Assassins who deal damage through their martial arts abilities and use kicks as finishing moves. However, if they have enough Force charms and items that grant good Force boosts, Shadow Dancer can offer them a decent return for his high Force score.

The main reason an Assassin is attracted to a Shadow Dancer.
Shadows Disciplines is one of the Assassin skill trees and offers useful skills for any Assassin build. Martial-minded assassins invest points in claw mastery, which improves their attack rate, damage output, and even grants a % to deal a critical hit. Assassins who prefer to lay traps everywhere and prefer drifting over head-to-head combat can put points into Burst of Speed or Shadow Master, letting their powerful shadowy avatar confuse and bind enemies, while they run all over the nearby. Neighborhood scattering deadly traps to soften up those pesky enemies for the final blow.
A perfect Shadow Dancer is a good item for any Assassin, with their +2 to Shadow Disciples and a good player will have even more items that have +To All Skills, making their Assassin a deadly, shadowy force to be reckoned with. . .

With this mod, the speed at which your character runs and walks is increased by 30%, making it easier for you to catch monsters or, if they’re hitting you, escape into the shadows. +%FRW is also a crucial mod in PvP (Player versus Player) play for the same reason.

Another mod that makes Shadow Dancer a good choice for assassins who prefer martial arts and like to get into the thick of battle.
Every time you take a hit, there are several frames of animation where your character can’t move, block, or take any other action. With the boost from the %FHR mod, this reduces the frames for the hit animation, which is good because you can recover faster from a hit. The 30% FHR increase is a nice boost for Assassin players who require more % FHR to break their target break point.
Summary:
Despite its high Strength requirement, Shadow Dancer is a good choice for melee-oriented Assassins. However, the biggest downside to using Shadow Dancer is that they don’t offer any resistance boosts.
